Ports of Call
Thomas was bored in the wee hours of the 4th of july and pulled this lil ditty together for you all to enjoy.
For those who may be unfamiliar, this is a cover of “Nothing Feels Good” by The Promise Ring.
On 6.9.2011 we were fortunate enough to get added as an opening band for Memoryhouse at Johnny Brenda’s in Philly at the very last minute. Foxes in Fiction also played, who was quite brilliant as well (and played bass for Memoryhouse).
Given the opportunity, we asked Evan from Memoryhouse if they were going to play their cover of My Bloody Valentine’s “When You Sleep”. Originally they weren’t going to do it for this tour, but they decided to try a new “surf rock” version of it for the first time at this show (much different than the version seen here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSm_5TQiccM). Sounded great to us!
so we’re plugging along. new show May 24th at Kung Fu Necktie with Psychic Teens and Swimmers Ear. Show starts at 8 sharp, i think we’re playing around 930. an early show for all you old heads (like us). We also will be putting up some amazing shirts and totes designed by James Olstein (www.jamesolstein.com) for sale on our site. For now you can grab them at the May 24th show, but we will have them available to all online in the coming weeks. Beyond that we’re working on songs to follow up our newly released EP Fractals which you can get now from our bandcamp site, in philly at AKA records, Milkcrate, and soon other record stores in the area and of course at our shows.
